Food,

The Hard Rock Cafe

One thing I love about living in the city is having endless places to explore and visit, all of which are very simple to get to and not too expensive. You can never say you've 'seen it all' and people are constantly recommending new places which means I'm constantly having amazing new experiences!

This weekend my friend had a birthday so four of us decided to take a trip up to the Hard Rock Cafe for a late lunch. We were lucky to have pre booked because the queued wait is about an hour or so! Following a speedy entrance we were handed menus and then came the 'difficult' part, making an actual decision as to what I wanted to eat. I ordered a drink first which hands down is probably the most beautiful thing I have ever had to drink- the strawberry and basil lemonade- it really hit the spot, perfectly refreshing! After deliberation yet again, I finally made my mind up and asked the lovely waiter for a hickory smoked pulled pork sandwich, which came with a side of beans, coleslaw and seasoned chips. Honestly it tasted amazing, and paired with my new favourite drink (which I'm so obsessed with I might have to try and replicate it) I was beyond satisfied. Unfortunately my childlike appetite meant I had no room for dessert but maybe another time? (Definitely another time.)

After the meal we had a little while left before I had to go home so we went gallivanting, taking in the sun and enjoying our surroundings and each other's company. I love the city so much, one of my favourite things to do is to just walk aimlessly around!

The outing was well needed, much enjoyed and the Hard Rock Cafe was delightful!

A trip down memory lane

Exam season is slowly coming to an end which means very soon I'll be much more active on my blog! (I hope). Earlier this week was two years since my first One Direction concert and it inspired me to do a little trip down memory lane of all the concerts/(very little) celebrity enounters I've had over the last few years.

2010: My first ever concert ever, where I saw Miley Cyrus's Wonder World Tour.

2013: Going to a movie premiere is cool. Going to a One Direction movie premiere? Insane. It was such a great experience!

2014: The riskiest concert I've been to to date. The day before my maths exam I decided to take a day away from revision and go to One Direction's Where We Are Tour. This will always be my favourite concert, stadiums have the best atmosphere and it's great because you get fireworks and the vibe of over 50,000 people - I think- was just electric. Not to mention getting a two in one opportunity, seeing both One Direction and Five Seconds of Summer! It was also the first time I met my internet friend and fellow blogger Hollie. Definitely one of the best nights ever and luckily I managed to pass maths with an A grade so it was a big win win.
Credit to whoever took this amazing photo!

2014: Coming away from One Direction's massive stadium concert with a 5 piece band and going down to Ed Sheeran in an arena was a whole different concert experience. His concert was so intimate and even on his own he managed to dominate the stage  which is something I love about smaller gigs.

2015: Just under a year after Ed I was back at another One Direction concert, this time in an arena. On The Road Again was a tour which had many ups and downs, the band went down to a four piece but this didn't stop them from being as amazing as they were as a 5 piece. The smaller arena meant I could see so much better which was truly amazing, the tech on the stage was brilliant and once again the night was one to remember. Not to mention I managed to get a selfie with one of the musical band, Sandy Beales who was lovely!

2016: No concerts planned for me this year which does make me quite sad however the year started off great when me and a few friends bumped into Marcus Butler at a Starbucks, again he was lovely and offered to take a couple of pictures with us before going back to hang out with his sister.
I love the experience of going to a gig just because it's so welcoming to be in an environment surrounded by people all together for the same thing. I hope to go to many more in the future and have a huge collection of concert tickets to look back on!
